What do you do?
Our mission and top priority at Write for Small Business is to create web content that educates and motivates your target audience to trust, like, and engage with you and your business. In other words, we help drive traffic to website and office.
How do you help small businesses?
Write for Small Business offers the following services: SEO blog copywriting, newsletter copywriting, content editing, website content review and editing, SEO-focused content planning, and manual writing and editing for lead generation and customer support and retention.
What is SEO blog copywriting?
SEO blog article copywriting builds trust, likeability, and authority with your targeted audience. We help drive qualified traffic to your website by aligning custom blog content with your organizational goals and SEO best practices. We do this by crafting high-quality, custom SEO-focused blog articles that are unique to your small business.
What do you mean by content editing?
When we perform content or substantive editing, we correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation. We then go deeper to improve word usage, transitions, consistency, and clarity. We may also suggest adding, deleting, or moving words, sentences, paragraphs, and sections to improve the structure and flow of your content. When we’re finished, you can be confident the content you post on your website and other distribution channels is publication ready before you post.
How is content editing different from website content review and editing?
With content editing we focus on a specific web page or blog article (or sets of web pages and blog articles).
With our website content review and editing service, we nitpick your website by focusing on all your web pages (excluding blog articles), the content they contain (including media and meta tags), and the navigation used to get to those pages.
With either service, our goal is to make sure your message is consistent and clear so your target audience trusts, likes, and engages with you and your business.
Do I have to reduce my ad spend when I use your SEO blog copywriting service?
Only if you want to. Your paid ads, social media promotions, and newsletter marketing will definitely get a boost from the additional custom SEO-focused content on your website.
I already subscribe to a service that I use for newsletters and blog articles. How is your SEO blog copywriting service different?
Write for Small Business wants you to stand out from the crowd. That’s why all the blog content we write is custom. While the topics may be similar to topics on other websites, the blog articles we write for you will be unique to and optimized just for your small business.
Why is it important to have custom SEO-focused blog articles on my small business website?
Repeat: Write for Small Business wants you to stand out from the crowd. On the internet, the best way to do this is by writing and posting custom SEO-focused blog articles that are unique to and optimized just for your small business.
I tried writing blog articles before. But it didn’t work.
A content marketing campaign based on custom SEO-focused blog articles may not be the best marketing solution for your company. However, before you dismiss SEO blog copywriting as a content marketing tactic, take some time to ask yourself a few questions:
- What made you decide to start blogging?
- What were your expectations?
- How did you measure success?
- How long did you commit to your campaign?
- Did the person responsible for managing the campaign have time to write the articles, newsletters, and social media snippets?
- Was the person responsible for managing the campaign knowledgeable about content marketing and SEO best practices?
- Was the person responsible for managing the campaign a professional writer?
- In other words, what were all the factors that contributed to your decision to stop blogging?
How do you work with your clients?
All our projects begin with a conversation to identify your content and service needs. The client brief describes each deliverable and its due date. We get to work once we have a fee agreement in place, communicating with you along the way so you know what to expect and where we are in the process. Once you accept our copy, we make sure we’re available to answer any questions you may have.
Can I review the articles and email messages you write and edit?
Absolutely. We want you to be happy with your content. Therefore, we offer rounds of revisions with all our copywriting and editing services.
What’s the turnaround time?
We work with you to set up a schedule for receiving, reviewing, and updating deliverables. We also work hard to turnaround your content as quickly as possible. Actual turnaround times, however, depend on a number of factors, including:
- Project size and number of services required
- Degree of background research required
- Quantity and quality of background information supplied
- Number and length of meetings required
How do you deliver SEO-focused blog articles and other deliverables?
You receive your content as a copydeck in a Microsoft Word file or Google Doc.
What is a copydeck?
A copydeck is a Microsoft Word file or Google Doc that includes the body of your text with section headings and H1 Title. Depending on the writing and editing service you purchased, it may also include SEO meta title and description, image filename and optimized field entries, suggested call to action (CTA), suggested or known article slug or URL, suggested accompanying email message, and suggested social media snippets.
What can I do with my Word file or Google Doc?
You can review the content and send it back to us for correction, or you can accept the content as is and forward it to your webmaster for posting. We can also use Balsamiq to show your webmaster how the copy should appear on your website.
Who owns the copyright?
Once you pay in full for the content, we transfer the copyright to you so that it’s yours to post to your website and other distribution channels.
How do you know which topics to write about?
So there are no surprises, we conduct research and brainstorm with you about topic ideas. We then schedule blog topics on an editorial calendar.
Can you help me come up with topic ideas? I can do the writing myself, but I want to know what to write about.
Write for Small Business can help you get organized with an SEO-focused content plan. The plan includes blogging trends for your industry; suggested blog article headlines, topics, and scheduling; suggested long-tail keywords; and newsletter themes—everything you need to stay focused and blogging for a full 12 months.
I want to write the articles myself, but don’t know what to say. Can you help me?
Yes. Write for Small Business has an hourly 1-on-1 coaching service to help you work through your content writing issues.
